Kamehameha Schools, which supplements its curriculum with Hawaiian history and culture, is currently accepting applications to the Fall 2008 semester of the Ike Hawaii Distance Learning Program. Utah State University Blankets Campus with Wireless Coverage
Utah State University has blanketed its 400-acre campus with wireless coverage for 25,000 students, faculty and staff using wireless LAN equipment from Meru Networks. The Logan, UT school has installed 700 Meru wireless access points in 150 of 200 buildings on campus, including all academic facilities and residences. University of New Mexico Pilots Unified Communications System
The University of New Mexico (UNM) will be piloting an IP-based communications network with the installation of a suite of applications called Univerge from NEC Unified Solutions. In 2006, the campus began implementing its IP communications network, which will eventually support 22,000 voice terminals (IP, TDM and analog), connecting administration, faculty and students, as well as the UNM Hospital campus and Health Science Center. — Campus Technology
