Scholastic Announces Fiscal 2008 Third Quarter Results
Scholastic Corporation, the global children’s publishing, education and media company, announced its fiscal 2008 third quarter results. For the quarter ended February 29, 2008, the Company reported revenue from continuing operations of $458.4 million, up from $446.0 million in the prior year quarter. Net loss from continuing operations was $4.6 million or $0.12 per share, compared to a net loss from continuing operations of $3.8 million or $0.09 per share in the prior year period. These results included an expense related to the termination of a sublease of $0.02 per share in the current quarter, and a gain of $0.04 per diluted share on the sale of an investment in the prior year.
