Where Are We Really Going?
New technologies, information types, and models for learning have created a growing gap between the traditional players in education — publishers and educational institutions — and the demands of teachers and learners. The real question now is who will fill this gap? Publishers do not have the competency in technology or learning. Educational institutions lack to ability to produce content and are also tethered to outdated, traditional learning models. It looks like we may need a new player on the block.
